Dear CampDraftGame gamers,
Yep, been awhile. Almost two months since our last update, but rest assured we’re still here, pushing step-by-step towards the magical initial print run out of China.
Heres a blow by blow, what’s gone down and what’s goin’ down…
The last big news we had for you was the formation of an in-spirit partnership with ACA (Australian Campdraft Association) for mutual promo of our game and the mega all-Aussie bush sport that inspired it. Check out the inclusion of their logo and website, now on the box-top.
Soon after this milestone came another, equally as exciting. Campdraft Qld Edition is now officially a fundraiser for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) to the tune of $2 per game sold. The RFDS crest enhances the box top no end, and also marks a destination on the actual game-board.
Look out if you pick the RFDS card from ‘Storm ‘n Tempest’!
As of today, our amazing artist Leith Walton has almost completed all the files necessary to begin the next phase, a foray into China for production of the first print run. It’s a little way off, but creeping ever closer.
Once our final sponsors are locked in, their logos will be incorporated into the artwork on the box-top, and their names up in lights under ‘sponsors’ in the rule booklet. Keep an eye out for a full listing of these next time around.
So far there are no big corporations – just everyday local businesses here in the bush – to a tee struggling under the weight of rising costs, but small and personal enough to remember their own beginnings. We are so grateful.
Last but not least comes quotes. Yes, we’re tossing up as we speak. Best deal, best quality.
