Thank you so much for coming on board. We’ve had some major movement regarding our board game and are now into a new phase. So … it’s time for another brief update.
Production Company Chosen
We have just now sent the finalised files to the winning contractor: DoFine Games, based in Shanghai. They’ve been making board games and printing for over two decades and will guarantee a high quality finish.
I’m just glad I wasn’t involved in all the of back and forth between Eva (our contact at DoFine in China) and Leith (our incredible designer and owner of Nurtured Creations in Murwillumbah), as much of the technical terms were beyond my understanding.
Next Steps in Production
Once Eva and Leith are happy they’ve got all the information shared correctly, we’ll approve a digital E-sample. This leads the way to the super-important physical sample unit being produced. Once Leith and I have given it the full inspection and confirmed everything is just right, we’ll give DoFine the go-ahead to start the initial print run – a whopping 1,500 units getting the green light!
While we put word out across the business community, no ‘big-name’ corporates decided to come onboard for the first run. Which is probably a good thing as there were nuts ‘n bolts bush-based enterprises keen to come aboard as sponsors, and they get to enjoy the spotlight.
The team is so appreciative of these sponsors trust and generosity.
Not Long Now…
Knowing the production is so close we’re now getting close to signing up with a local distributor to ensure when we open the gates, copies of Campdraft land safely in the hands of customers and retailers across the country.
At this stage, our first unit will be charity auctioned for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) at one of Qld’s early 2027 ACA-affiliated Campdrafts. Which one depends on manufacturing time-line, shipping, and weather!
Pre-orders will be sent out on that same date. And yes, we’re also working on the best way for you to get your pre-order in. A shop is coming soon!
So you might even be able to get your copy pre-ordered in the coming months.
